Signal Processing

More Details...

About

Signal processing is the enabling technology for the generation, transformation, extraction, and interpretation of information. Signal processing is essential for a wide range of applications, from data science to real-time embedded systems. MATLAB® and Simulink® products make it easy to use signal processing techniques to explore and analyse time-series data, and they provide a unified workflow for the development of embedded systems and streaming applications. Digital signal processing (DSP) and Analog signal processing are subfields of signal processing. DSP has at least three major subfields: audio signal processing, digital image processing and speech processing.

Objective

  • To provide quality education in the area of Signal Processing - the science behind our digital lives.
  • To train our students into excellent researchers and to provide highly qualified people for the industry in the relevant fields of signal processing.
  • To develop strong technical background in fundamental signal processing domains such as detection and estimation theory, information theory, waveform design, stochastic processes, filtering, modulation theory, machine learning.
